if you're bored then you're boring.

too often do I read on social networking sites or just hear the phrase "I'm Bored". two words that to me, do not even go together in a sentence. not since I was the age of 14 atleast. even though I am an exception to the rule considering: I have two children, three dogs, a busy career, a serious social life, a wedding to plan, and more projects started than I will ever finish. Inspiration is everywhere and there is always something to do. so if you are feeling "bored"...here you go:
REPURPOSE: what is now old can be new (with some imagination and paint, that is..)

REVAMP: Tired of those ugly old chairs? Paint them and slap some fabric over the seats..
REORGANIZE: jewelry box full? tired of untangling your neclaces? cork board and push pins. done.
a few other ideas to kill time or boredom, items not pictured:

TIE DYE SOMETHING not your style? try something simple. say an old grey skirt. buy a super bright dye (hot pink, maybe purple) twist it the skirt up in rubber bands, DIP IN DYE, LET DRY, AND BOOM! BRAND NEW SKIRT, Y'ALL

SPRAY PAINT SOMETHING canvas, old wood, ceiling tiles. anything. make or buy some stencils and spray away. instant art party.

PUT EM ON THE  GLASS  you know the mismatched glasses, mugs, jars or maybe just some vases
if your cabinets are full but you need a cute pencil holder or even candle holder: hot glue and yarn. pick a color. hot glue the yarn down strand by strand wrapping the glass until it is completely covered.  CUTE!

im back y'all

months since a post. lots going on. more baby pictures, hair pictures and crafts. yet another themed food party. GRITS. themed potluck parties are the best parties. they give the guests (and host) direction and makes it a little fun. I personally decided to make a casserole. yeah, yeah, easy way out. It was delicious. here is the recipe:

*one cup grits
*one cup tostitos brand queso
*half cup goats cheese
*five eggs
*one cup shredded cheddar
*one chopped green bell pepper
*half cup mozzarella and half cup pepperjack cheese (shredded)
*as much Sriracha as you can stand

1: mix grits, one cup water, queso and goats cheese in casserole dish
2: scramble eggs, cheddar, bell pepper, and Sriracha for 5 minutes med/high heat
3: mix eggs once scrambled into grits in dish. stir up until grits begin to spread.
4: top with mozzarella and pepperjack
5: bake 15 mins (or until cheese is melted)  at 350 degrees.

I did not take one single picture of the casserole, as it looked just like any other, but above is a shot from the GRITS party. please be inspired.
